Asset information and documents

Connect the token to an issuer, an asset description, and verifiable documents.

The asset record

In the issuer portal, you manage this information on the asset's Profile & documents tab. A token's balances are only one part of an asset's information. The platform associates the token with its issuer, asset classification, collateral classification, jurisdiction, descriptive metadata, and supporting documents.

Asset and collateral classifications describe different things. The instrument type describes what the investor holds. The collateral describes what supports the obligation, if anything does. A classification is descriptive data. It does not guarantee asset quality or protection.

Files and on-chain records

Rich descriptions and files are stored outside the token contract. The publication flow validates the metadata, pins the content to IPFS, and prepares the on-chain write for the authorized issuer wallet.

On-chain records associate the token with metadata locations and document hashes. A hash lets a reader check whether the downloaded file matches the recorded version. It does not prove that the statements inside the file are true.

Public information and private evidence

Public asset material can include the description, logo, offering terms, and published reports. Do not add identity documents or private subscription evidence to the public document set.

Signed subscription agreements and payment evidence belong in the subscription workflow. They are not the same as a publicly published agreement template, and one cannot replace the other.

Update the asset information

Only a wallet with the right issuer or contract authority can make an update. Preparing or uploading a file does not complete the change. The change is complete when the on-chain write is confirmed. See How transactions settle.

Publish the asset in the Marketplace

A new suite starts unlisted. Deploying the suite or publishing its metadata does not list it in the investor portal's Marketplace.

On Real Testnet, a workspace Admin can publish or unpublish their own asset:

Save the profile

Save the asset profile on Profile & documents.

Open the listing

Open the asset's Marketplace tab, then Listing.

Publish

Select Publish.

Publishing needs no wallet transaction. The platform can put a listing on hold. In other environments, platform operations lists assets.

An unlisted token can still allow authorized operations, so do not use Marketplace visibility to judge its contract state.
