Investor workflow
Get verified, request access to an asset, invest, and hold tokens in your own wallet.
This page follows the investor portal: Get verified, Marketplace, the asset tabs Invest and Trade, Portfolio, and Income.
Choose the wallet that will hold your assets
Your platform account is linked to one designated asset wallet. You can use a personal wallet or an existing Safe multisignature wallet. Safe owners and delegates can have different session permissions. You manage them in Account → Wallets & access.
To sign in, you sign a message in your wallet. This only logs you in. It does not move assets or approve later transactions. Each on-chain action asks for its own wallet approval and gas fee.
Get verified
Open Get verified. The platform prepares an ONCHAINID (your reusable on-chain identity) and its claims.
On Real Testnet, real KYC is turned off:
Choose the account type
Under Account type, choose Individual, then select Continue. This choice is permanent. Business accounts are not available.
Run the test verification
Under Test verification, confirm that you understand the simulation, then select Run test verification. The platform issues test claims for a fictional adult individual in Germany. You do not give identity documents.
Wait for your identity
Wait while the platform creates your on-chain identity. The portal shows All set when it is done.
Where real KYC is turned on, the platform collects your identity evidence through its verification provider (Veriff). Verification then has three stages: you submit a check, the provider approves it, and the claims are confirmed on-chain. Finishing one stage does not finish the next.
Give identity documents only to the verification process. Do not put them in public asset metadata. Anyone can see claims and wallet links on-chain, and these can reveal attributes about you. A claim that omits your name is not anonymous for that reason alone.
Request access to an asset
Find the asset in Marketplace and select Request access. Each issuer decides whom to admit, so your verified identity does not give access by itself. See identity and eligibility.
Your access request goes through issuer review and then on-chain registration. Your wallet can receive the token only after it passes the required registration and eligibility checks.
Invest or trade
Where an offering is open, use the asset's Invest tab. The subscription records your requested allocation, agreements, issuer acceptance, payment, and delivery. When you submit a subscription, you do not yet have the tokens. Your admission to the asset must be complete before delivery. See offerings and subscriptions.
Where secondary trading is enabled, use the asset's Trade tab to buy from another holder's sell order if you are eligible. The token's rules still apply at settlement. See secondary trading.
Hold, transfer, and monitor
Portfolio shows the balances and activity of your asset wallet, including frozen amounts where applicable. Before you sign, a transfer preflight can explain likely refusals. Examples are a paused token, too little unfrozen balance, a missing registration, or a jurisdiction restriction. How transactions settle explains what a preflight, a hash, and a receipt prove.
When verification changes
Claims can be revoked or become invalid. On a normal transfer, the token contract checks the recipient's identity, the token state, and the compliance rules. The portal also checks the sender's identity. So the portal can refuse a transfer even when the contract has no matching sender check. Other compliance rules can still restrict either party.
If you lose eligibility, you keep your tokens. But you may not be able to receive more tokens or use some portal features until the issuer or the verification process fixes the issue.
Issuer powers and holder risks
Authorized token agents can do these actions without your signature:
- Freeze your wallet or an amount in it.
- Force-transfer your holdings.
- Burn your tokens.
Forced transfers and burns use privileged paths, so they still work while ordinary transfers are paused. An identity-registry agent can also remove your wallet's registration for that suite. This changes your eligibility but does not delete your balance.
These powers help with recovery and enforcement. They also expose you to errors or misuse by authorized operators. Holding your own wallet does not remove them. See Trust model and admin powers.
Identity control and wallet recovery
The platform creates investor ONCHAINIDs with its MANAGEMENT key, the key that administers the identity. Holding the asset wallet's private key does not give you sole control of that identity. Claim updates and identity administration depend on the authorized management and claim-issuer keys.
The platform links your asset wallet during onboarding. You cannot change this wallet yourself. Contract-level token recovery can move your holdings to an approved replacement wallet. An issuer agent must act, and the identity requirements must be met. Today a lost wallet cannot be recovered end to end in the portals; see recovery.
Rights attached to an asset
The offering terms and issuer documents define your payment, redemption, and enforcement rights. A token balance alone does not give you insolvency priority or guarantee redemption. Before you subscribe, check the instrument's payment schedule, responsible entity, and recovery arrangements. These workflows do not include redemption.
Claim payouts on Income
Payouts come from an on-chain payout contract. See how payments are recorded.
Open Income
Open Income. Payouts lists the scheduled payments from the assets you hold. Insurance lists insurance compensation where you are a policy's named beneficiary.
Claim the payment
Select Claim on a row and review the payment.
Confirm in your wallet
Confirm the claim in your wallet. You pay a small network fee.
The payment goes to the wallet that held the tokens on the record date. A later transfer or recovery of your tokens does not move it. You claim each payout yourself, and you can claim it at any time. See what is permanent.
